Snowfall amounts overnight ranged from a coating/fraction of an inch in many places, up to over 3″ in parts of northeastern CT.
- Skies become partly to mostly sunny during the rest of today.
- Batches of precipitation will pass nearby both tomorrow morning & Saturday morning. At this time it looks like Connecticut will be near the northern fringe of these areas and probably only get grazed by a couple flurries or snow showers in parts of the state Friday & Saturday mornings, however there may be some small accumulations across NJ and Long Island (where some rain may also get into the mix), so a light shift to the north could easily change our forecast during the next 1-2 days.
- A more significant storm system looks more likely (than yesterday) to affect us Sunday evening/night. Precipitation will likely begin as snow. Too soon to tell if this will change to rain before tapering off Monday morning.
- Windy & unseasonably cold weather will follow, with temperatures dropping into the 20’s Monday and remaining cold much of next week.
